Butyl glycol
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Butyl glycol (2-butoxyethanol, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, butyl ether) is a chemical compound with the formula C6H14O2 and is a glycol ether. A low-volatile, high-boiling liquid with a weak odor, used as a solvent and raw material for synthesis.
USE CASES
– Coalescent in water-dispersion paints;
-Solvent in organic coatings;
– Binding agent for architectural water-based paints;
– Binding agent in the production of cleaners and detergents;
– The main solvent for silk screen printing ink;
– Coupling solvent for binder and dye in water-based inks;
-Solvent for pesticides.
