Dipropylene glycol is a colorless, hygroscopic, odorless liquid. Mixes with water, dissolution in water takes place with the release of heat. It is practically non-toxic and is used in the pharmaceutical, food and perfume industries. It is produced using the synthesis of propylene glycol by hydration of propylene oxide.

-solvent for printing inks, various resins, cellulose acetates and nitrates;

– a solvent for the extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons from their mixtures with aliphatic and naphthenic hydrocarbons;

– low-freezing coolant;

– a component of hydraulic fluids;

– raw material during the production of polyester resins;

– fuel additive;

– raw material during production of plasticizers, cosmetic products, perfumery.
