PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Monosodium glutamate (sodium glutamate, monosodium glutamate, sodium 2-aminopentadioate) is a sodium salt of glutamic acid, food additive E621, which is a flavor enhancer. It has the appearance of a non-hygroscopic powdery mass formed by crystals. The color is white. Dissolution in water is good (74 g/100 ml at 25 °C). In most organic solvents, for example, in ether, it is almost impossible to dissolve.
USE CASES
Monosodium glutamate is introduced into various foods, like salt or sugar, with the main purpose: to make them tastier. It is used to make broth cubes, dry soups, instant noodles, mashed potatoes, frozen semi-finished products, fermented milk and soy products, gravies, flavored salty snacks, chips, croutons, etc.
